The Just4Women Program is a women's only program, designed to provide gender-sensitive support services to women who are vulnerable to the risks of isolation, domestic violence and lack of access to support networks for socio-economic participation. Thus the program will provide a forum for learning, friendship and broader community connections. 


Program Activities:


Group Sessions:
  • Information Workshops: Canadian Culture and Settlement Information
  • English lessons
  • Financial Literacy
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Arts, and Crafts 
  • Skill-Sharing
  • Childminding is available


Home Visits:
  • In-home support is available to women who require additional personalized assistance and referrals to other community resources. 
  • The target group are: pregnant women, new mothers, women who are "shut-in" because of lack of child care/transportation; women who need individualized support with life/work skills development 



  • Participants must be women 18 years of age or older
  • Any residency status: Citizens, Visitors, Permanent Residents, Work Permits
